Godly Play is essentially a method of telling Bible stories rooted in the Montessori tradition. Participants (usually, but not invariably, children) are all welcomed by name.
What Happens?
A story is told, and the participants are then invited to ‘wonder’.
There are no ‘right’ answers, but the wondering invariably unlocks a deepened sense of spiritual awareness.
Usage
Godly Play is being used in churches and schools in across the country.
St Nicholas Cathedral is already recognised as a regional centre of excellence, offering training and resources as well as Godly Play itself.
We work closely with the Diocesan Task Group for Godly Play.
