This exciting project for school children has been developing over several years.
When Does It Take Place?
It occupies a week in late November (near St Nicholas’ Day, 6th December). Children at Key Stage II spend a day at the Cathedral meeting and interacting with historical characters - for example, a sailor from Admiral Collingwood’s flagship.
They also have a chance to participate in craft activities.
Book Early
This project is very popular, and the week is always over-subscribed. Feedback from schools is very positive. We are therefore looking to create another week along similar lines at another time of year, so that we can accommodate more children.
