
The Churchwardens and their deputies are elected by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and have a duty to represent the laity and co-operate with the clergy.
Their Duties
They are expected to lead the parishioners by setting a good example and encouraging unity and peace. They have a particular duty to maintain order and peace in the church and churchyard at all times.
Current Churchwardens
The current Churchwardens are Joan Marrs, Ralph Shaw, David Williams and Timothy Wigglesworth, and the deputy Churchwardens are Mr Eric Jubb and Mrs Elisabeth Stoddart.
The Sidesmen
The Sidesmen are responsible for welcoming visitors, greeting members of the congregation, overseeing seating arrangements in church, and for taking the collection.
They are appointed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and receive guidance in their duties from the churchwardens.
