Education grows out of enthusiasm - the desire to share with others what excites us, and the equal delight of helping others to find their own enthusiasms, which in turn stimulates us.
Sharing Faith
Christians want to share their faith in Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth and the Life. But beyond the bare bones of faith, there are many ways in which the Church can help people deepen and enrich their lives, and broaden the context in which they live.
Adventure
Cathedrals are places of discovery. Just getting to know the building is a wonderful adventure, which can encompass worship, theology, music, building techniques, the visual arts, and social and political history. Cathedrals speak to different people in different ways, but always point beyond themselves to a larger world.
Listed below are some of the areas where we try to help people make connections through particular educational activities. For further information about these, or any aspect of education at St Nicholas, please contact Canon Robert Gage at the Cathedral Office.
