The Chapter directs and oversees the affairs of the Cathedral. The Dean chairs the Chapter; all four Residentiary Canons are members.
Lay Members - An Overview
Additionally there are four lay members, two appointed from the Congregation by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and two others appointed by the Bishop. The lay members hold office for terms of three years.
Current Lay Members
At present the lay members are Mary-Anne Sinclair and Keith Evemy appointed by the Annual Meeting, and Sam Wallis appointed by the Bishop. A further lay member of Chapter will be appointed in the summer.
